A Family Enslaved

On Wednesday, October 28, join the creators of A Family Enslaved, a graphic history produced by the Dartmouth and Slavery Project and The Center for Cartoon Studies’ Applied Cartooning Lab. Based on primary sources, the book tells the story of a family enslaved by Eleazar Wheelock, Dartmouth College’s founder, and explores slavery’s enduring legacy in New England.

Hear how this collaboration between archivists, scholars, educators, and cartoonists came to be.

Wednesday, October 28 | 6–7 p.m. ET
In person at the Howe Library’s Mayer Room or online via Zoom.
