The Applied Cartooning Lab is pleased to welcome Noah Jodice as our 2025–26 Fellow.
Noah’s work explores how our social relationships are shaped by complex political and cultural systems. Working across comics, zines, and prints, his storytelling blends absurdist humor with a materialist approach to history. He frequently collaborates on abolitionist and community justice projects with organizations such as the Center for Urban Pedagogy, Critical Resistance, and Interrupting Criminalization. In 2024, his cartooning was recognized with a Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators.
At the Lab, Noah will contribute to a range of ongoing projects, including a comic guide to fascism and curriculum development initiatives. He will also begin work on a graphic biography of Frankfurt School theorist Walter Benjamin and conduct research into the shifting relations of production for graphic artists during the desktop publishing revolution. In addition, he plans to create a new series of short zines.
We’re excited to support and learn from Noah during his fellowship year.
