On First Friday, cartoonists and community members stopped by for The Applied Cartooning Lab’s “official” opening. CCS students and alum doodled away and perused books and comics while curious passersbys wandered in. “What is this place?” and “What’s applied cartooning?” they asked. Across the street, another community-minded non-profit, Cover, opened its new bookstore. Things are happening on South Main Street in White River Junction.
